Still Life Paintings by Lisa Ernst

As a still life painter, I am most drawn to the mystery and evanescence of nature. Where does a flower come from and why does it fade so fast? Its life force expends all its energy to bloom into full glory and then just as quickly it withers and dies. Through my still life paintings I aim to capture those fleeting moments of nature and to celebrate the beauty and brevity of life itself.
